Prayer OK in D.C., but not schools?
This morning I was watching the U.S. Senate proceedings on C-SPAN. I found it very interesting that each and every session of Congress is opened with the Senate or House chaplain reciting a prayer. The leaders of America begin each day with a prayer ... a prayer that our schoolchildren are not allowed to recite before they start each day. Then I got to wondering, just when was the last time 26 U.S. lawmakers were gunned down in their daily gathering place? If only 26 staff and children at the Sandy Hook elementary school had been sitting in the Capitol building instead of sitting in their public school classroom.
Just something to think about America…
