President does his own outsourcing
During this presidential campaign, there has been some reference to outsourcing.
The best example of this came recently while world leaders were assembled at the United Nations. Apparently, due to the president's full agenda, (appearing on the View, etc.) he, Obama, didn't have time to meet with any of his counterparts. As a result, he outsourced his job responsibilities to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to meet with a number of world leaders.
Normally, a vice president fills in for a president to meet with foreign dignitaries when there is a scheduling conflict.
In hindsight, perhaps it was a good choice to asking Hillary to fill in. Obama perhaps cringed at the thought of what gaffs Joe Biden would make, meeting with various leaders, especially during this campaign season.
