Something is wrong with electricity rates

I was shocked when I opened my APS bill today. There was a note about an increase in rates due to the decreased energy consumption. This is because we are using energy efficient light bulbs, appliances and getting solar panels, etc.

So now we find out using less electricity is costing us more. Something is wrong with that picture!

Maybe APS should negotiate a better rate for less electricity with their distributors now that people are starting to be energy efficient, which was demanded by our government, like fluorescent light bulbs.

I am all for energy conservation, but I do resent paying more to be energy efficient!
