Writer doesn't want to be outgunned

The recent letter of Mr. Phillips wrote “I have yet to hear any valid reasons that civilians should have them” (assault weapons). Here's one: Sen. Feinstein stated on a TV talk show there are 150,000 gang members in the U.S. that have access to assault weapons and they have the police “outgunned.” A ban is not likely to significantly reduce their access. God forbid social chaos and mayhem should come, but should it, I don't want to be ‘outgunned'.
