Slow down and relax while driving

To all Yuma residents, year-round or part time...

I live in Yuma year-round, and I love the winter visitors and their driving because it makes me realize that sometimes we all just need to SLOW DOWN and relax. I used to get so impatient with the winter visitors doing 35 in a 45 zone, however, now I enjoy it.

So, Reginald, thank you for visiting Yuma every year and you continue to take your time and relax, because you have earned it, sir.

This is to all of the drivers who drive crazy year-round in Yuma, because you seem to not realize that winter visitors are only here part time, yet you proceed to tailgate, drive erratically, cut people off, and have no concern about the other drivers on the road.

Leave 20 minutes early so you are not late during the winter, because someday you may end up in a ditch or wrapped around a pole because you are in such a hurry. Or, worse yet, with your reckless driving you may end up killing or seriously injuring an innocent person/child because you didn't have the concern or thought to slow down and relax.

I hope to all of the reckless, inconsiderate drivers that are out there that you have a life-changing experience and realize that life is too short to be so impatient.

I can write this and comment on it because I have been diagnosed with an incurable illness. Now, every minute of every day is greatly appreciated, whether it is doing 20 behind a winter visitor or driving 65 on the freeway. Stop, think and relax!
