Memories give strange feeling
I enjoy reminiscing by telling "do you remember the time" stories to my daughters and grandkids. Set back the world a turn, or two, and enjoy its joys again.
However, the memories of the past give me a strange feeling. When I look back at what I did a long time ago, it's hard to think of it as me. I see it clearly, but it's as if someone else were doing it.
I read that we start losing the brain cells that make up our memory when we reach age 20. At age 82, I'm lucky to remember I'm 82. I've lived 29,520 days, that's a lot of memories. It's only natural that some should drop by the wayside.
So many people say, "I'm terrible with names." Who isn't? The other day I could not remember my home phone number. I just don't call myself enough. Whoa! Is that thought a memory?
