Think more about candidates
It was with great interest I read your article about Tony Reyes and salary with the Comite de Bienestar ("Salary of nonprofit executive questioned").
No one, even if intelligent and capable, should be making this kind of money. It is disturbing because so many of us are facing financial difficulties of one sort or another at the present time. I am sure his excessive income cuts into the benefits of the people he is supposed to be helping and who now probably need it more then ever.
The irony of it is that he will probably be re-elected to the Yuma County Board of Supervisors when his term is up.
Hopefully now that all this questionable behavior is coming to light on all levels nationwide, the voters will think a little more about whom they are voting for, not only in the local, but statewide and national elections.
