Drop by to mark changing of the editors
After 30 years, editor Terry Ross is retiring, saying farewell to a long career in newspapers. An almost Yuma native, he has seen much change during his tenure, both in the city/county and in the business.
Typewriters were replaced by computers. Talented people have come and gone. Awards were won, significant stories were written and Terry's name is forever embedded in the Yuma Sun's history. His knowledge of Yuma, memories and dry sense of humor have been valued and will be missed.
We're inviting you to come and wish Terry well on Wednesday. From 3 to 6 p.m. we'll open our doors and give you the opportunity to reminisce with Terry and meet new editor Roxanne Molenar. Tour our building, watch the press run and enjoy some light refreshments.
We're not quite ready to let Terry go; he'll continue to write some editorials for our Opinion page. So this is not goodbye, just a new chapter in Terry's story.
