Foothills parade a massive success
The Foothills Parade of Lights was once again a big success! We want to thank the Yuma County Sheriff's Office for leading us all three nights and making sure everyone stayed safe. We also thank Domino's Pizza for delivering the pizzas for our pizza party on Sunday night, and The Foothills Eatery for their hospitality after the parade on Saturday night. Thanks to ABC/FOX television for mentioning our parade on the 6 p.m. news.
And a big thanks to all of the participants who spent so much time and money decorating their vehicles, and stuck with us even though it was pretty cold those nights! We wouldn't have had a parade without you!
We had over 100 decorated vehicles on Friday night, 75 vehicles on Saturday night, and Sunday night we had about 55 vehicles.
And especially a BIG thank you to all of the people that came out to watch and wave and applaud! It would have been a pretty dull parade without people seeing and appreciating our decorating efforts! We will do it again next year! We will have the banner posted Thanksgiving weekend, and the information will be on www.yumacalendar.org as soon as we confirm next year's dates with the sheriff's office.
