We should have military parade
The 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks is approaching and for many people that means letting go of some of the shock and in some cases pain that this day brought.
I know the war is winding down in the Middle East and I have a request in lieu of it, and that is we celebrate the armed forces with a parade in their honor.
I'm well aware of the bitter blood between political parties but I think that should be put aside to honor those who protected and served us when we could not help ourselves.
I think a parade in their honor sometime this holiday season would be perfect way to signal the drawing down or end of the Middle East wars.
I have great respect as a mentally handicapped person who was helped in ways unimaginable when I was severely sick. To think that there was a war going on through it all makes me reflect on the fact that I would have really had no defense against an at home invasion if it were not for the military protecting my freedom overseas. So I ask that we have a coming-home celebration within the next two years.
There's so much more to be said but I think we owe their hearts the sound of our cheering.
