Reminders from 2012 will carry into new year

In 2012, I was reminded that life is short; we should never take a single day for granted. What matters most is love, family, friends and time spent together. They are your rock in times of need. There is a higher power watching over us. Work is necessary but much easier when you love what you do. Fun is also a great use of time and there’s no reason to take yourself too seriously. Life is much better when you color outside the lines instead of living up to someone else’s expectations. I’m thankful for the reminders 2012 provided, but I’m hopeful that our world is a little easier and more joyful in the new year. I plan to cherish each sunset, be grateful for each sunrise and treasure those I love.
