President has achieved very little

This editorial (“Inauguration a reminder that we live in time of diversity,” Jan. 26) couldn't be further from the truth. This president has achieved very little that has helped this nation. He wants to be the great unifier but has instead done more to erase any and all gains in race relations in order to elicit the minority vote.

This president is a closet racist. He says he wants equality for all. Rather than fix the abuses to our great capitalistic form of government, he wants to tear down all the incentives that allowed this nation to achieve so much in such a short time. He has contributed to this abuse by getting into bed with the unions, GE, General Motors and anyone who will contribute to his campaign coffers.

He openly demeans anyone who disagrees with his goals. He willingly destroys anyone in opposition to him with no regard for ethical or moral honesty. He says things he thinks will promote his position without any regard to honesty or truthfulness. In other words, he should be remembered as the great liar.

The only things he has achieved are an enormous debt and programs that not only will add to the debt but also will cripple this nation's ability to succeed and pay off his horrendous debt. He does this by bypassing our elected representatives and senators. He won't put forth a budget, even though it is required by law, because he doesn't want it critiqued and knows he can't get it passed.

Those people who do not understand responsibility and those who believe they are entitled to all the wants that are available rather than the needs to survive voted for this president. Responsible people recognize the destruction of the individual incentive to achieve personal goals, which is the goal of the Progressive Party. The party mentions the 36-hour week and the month-long vacations but ignores the unrest and violence in most of the socialistic governments in Europe.

These actions by this president and the Progressive Party have made the decline of this country a certainty.
