Tell mayor, council we want dog park

  The proposed dog park in Yuma is a great idea. If anybody has ever been up in Flagstaff, they have one called Bark Park and let me tell you it is a great idea.

  All us citizens need to call the Yuma City Council and let them know that a dog park in Yuma would be a great idea. When I was at Bark Park in Flagstaff all the dogs looked so happy. Bark Park also had plenty of room for many dogs and the owners had a place to play with there dogs.

  This would ease up the parks that we have now and give a place for dogs to be so citizens that do not have dogs will not have to be overcrowded. Dog owners can play with there dogs in a surroundings that are for the dog.

  I never saw any problems at Bark Park - all the dogs got along. Of course there should be rules posted at the park and people would expect that no one would bring a dog there that would not get along with others.

  Mayor and council, it is time for Yuma's own Bark Park. All dog lovers that have never been to a
dog park really need to experience it for you and your dog.

  Another good point is I love walking my dogs but at times there are loose dogs and you never know if they will approach you and start a fight with one of your dogs - that did happen to me once. So again this gives a place for dogs and owners to be safe.
