Others spend money here, too

I would like to respond to winter visitor Mike Abramson's tirade about the locals. First off, let's agree that there is bad driving from both the locals and winter visitors alike, plus that subject over the years has been beaten to a pulp.

My concern is that you see the winter visitors as a gravy train here. Yes, you do bring money to our economy just as tourists bring money into your state, Idaho, in the summer time. But realize the locals, military and people from Mexico spend a lot of money here as well and all year long.

Also Mr. Abramson, your main purpose, as well as many of the other winter visitors here in our area, is not to boost our economy, but because of the weather. If you were really concerned for our economy you'd stay here the whole year, not just the choice months of the year.

As far as telling a local resident in your letter, if he doesn't like it to move. How would you like it if a visitor in your town tells you, if you didn't like it where you live to move! Oh wait, you do. Here!
