Thanks and farewell till fall
With temperatures in the 90s last week, we're seeing an earlier exodus of winter visitors heading north.
If you're not acclimated to the heat, it can be oppressive, especially in an RV. It's time to say “thank you” for making Yuma your winter home.
By all counts, winter visitor numbers were down this year, so please go back and tell your friends to come on down next season.
Some people may complain, but winter visitors make Yuma a bustling, active city. And we truly appreciate the boost you bring to our economy! With an additional 80,000 part-time residents, Yuma has many amenities we may not have if the winter visitor population didn't land here for up to six months each year.
As volunteers, you're the best, and you bring a lot of energy and fun to our city. We love that you love Yuma.
Have a great summer; we'll be ready to welcome you in the fall!
