Guns for teachers not a solution

Oh yeah, let’s give teachers in our schools guns and ammunition! Let’s arm each and every one of them. Let’s see, that would put guns in the hands of many folks just out of school themselves, guns in the hands of people we hardly know. Let’s have a shoot-out in the gym, a surprise attack in the lunchroom, or an ambush in the bathrooms.

Are you kidding me? The same people you are trying to protect the students and teachers from are the very ones who attend your schools! If this wasn’t so important, it would be hilarious. Where are we going to store these weapons? Are they going to be under lock and key? If so, they will be of no use in an emergency. If not, they will be available to each and every crazy who has a problem with a teacher, a boyfriend or a bully. I just can’t believe people think this is a solution. Have we actually lost our minds?
