Special Olympics help appreciated

We would like to thank the following individuals/organizations for their help with our summer and fall Special Olympics games:

City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department, city of Somerton Parks and Recreation Department, Rotary Clubs of Yuma, Elks Lodge, Jerry Wright and the incredible staff of PrimeCare, Mary Rhona Francoeur and the Arizona Western College Nursing Students, KYMA, Yuma Sun, Toro Loco Challenge, Dan Winters and the Yuma Diabetes Coalition, and Cibola Student Council.

To our parents and guardians, thank you for all of your support and to our coaches and volunteers, we couldn't do it without you.

Having a Special Olympics program here in Yuma is due to Cathy and Gary Reeves. Without their thousands and thousands of volunteer hours over the last 28 years, we would be nonexistent. Words can explain how blessed we are to have them in our lives.

Thank you for everyone that advocates for us because many of us don't have the voices to advocate for ourselves. Though we often can't say thank you, we know you can see the smiles that are in our hearts and the joy that you bring to us.
