Exciting to see F-35 arrive here

It's an exciting time to be a Yuma resident. We have waited a long time for the F-35 to come here, and we will now be hearing the sound of that jet above our heads.

I hope that it's not lost in the excitement of getting this aircraft that we are also closer to cuts to our defense industry. While I'm not sure if that directly affects the F-35 program coming to Yuma, I know that it certainly is not a positive development for it.

I hope that our elected officials here in Arizona are aware of how important the F-35 is to Yuma, and that any cuts to the program ultimately will hamper the business and military community we call home.
