Please reject shelter plan

We are asking the Yuma County Board of Supervisors and our representative, Russ Clark, to reject any proposal to partner with the city of Yuma in an animal control facility.

It makes no sense to duplicate services already established and available, and we taxpayers need no more assessments. Surely the county supervisors can work with the Humane Society of Yuma to utilize their facilities.

The history of the decisions made by the city of Yuma regarding services and animal control has proven to be costly errors in judgement. Why they choose to duplicate we do not understand, but that is up to the city residents to control.

Please do not let the city influence you into making the same mistakes that they have made.
