More details needed for annexation

On the front page of March 1st paper, there is an article about annexation of the Foothills area into the city of Yuma. I know some people who live to the east of Mesa Avenue who are inside the city limits of Yuma, but pay Far West for sewer service. Why don't they pay the city for this service? Another question: would the residents with septic tanks have the right to continue to use them?

Maybe the city could provide other benefits. Would they provide a properly equipped and manned ambulance service so fire trucks would not be needed? Of the years I took care of my father and then my mother, I never had a fire truck arrive to care for either of them.

On several occasions with mother, they would do a test of her heart, send the results to the hospital via phone and receive instructions. Then they would start an IV drip and transport her to hospital. Would we get this type of service?

In that same state, utilities paid for the cost of providing service to new developments by securing a construction loan from a bank – not from present consumers. I wish our state legislature would make this the rule in this state.
