White successes should be celebrated

The Yuma Sun's hypocrisy is again showing. Headline of how the Sun will not tolerate hate speech and on the bottom of the same page is La Cucaracha lamenting that the Oscars was 94 percent white and comparing that stat with the Senate and the Klan.

Will the Sun ever print the accomplishments of the white male as they did for the Muslims? It might, but it will be buried in the public notices if ever. Will I read anything negative about La Raza (The Race) and its lack of diversity? Will I read about how the last election was a block vote by those of color vs. the white candidate? Are you going to tell me the vote was based on accomplishments and qualifications rather than race? Give me a break. Will I read how too white the GOP, Tea Party, Wall Street are? I read it all the time. Will I read how there is little diversity in Sports? Never.

When I read in the Yuma Sun how indignant they are about hate speech, perhaps it is time for a little self inspection. I'm not holding my breath, but should I and I turn blue, then I'd qualify for goodies under a new found minority/victim status.

I'm rapidly tiring of the white suppressor and minority victim mantra I hear daily in the media. It is just part of the divide and conquer policy of this administration.
