Outdoor Yuma perfect this time of year

This is the perfect time of the year in Yuma, where the temp-eratures are in the 80s.

It's not just because I keep seeing photos of late snowstorms Back East, either.

It's a great time to be outside, enjoying all that our desert home has to offer.

Last weekend, we drove up to Palm Canyon for a late morning hike.

The temperatures were terrific, but even better were the cacti in bloom, bright patches of color against the brown desert.

Family and friends drove out to Picacho on Sunday and said the desert was glorious and colorful, with a nice breeze to keep everybody comfortable.

Days like these remind me of why I'm thankful to live in Yuma. Great weather and interesting places to explore outdoors are terrific perks.
