District 1 enrollment has ups and downs
The United Way of Yuma County (UWYC) had a check drawn up for Yuma Elementary District 1 to present them for the over $5,800 that district staff raised to support the organization. Zepeda accepted an award from Pecan Grove as they had the most staff participation in the workplace campaign and Stiffler accepted an award for the district as their office raised more funds than any campus in the district.

At a Yuma Elementary School District governing board meeting Monday, the group received a report on 100th day districtwide enrollment that showed an increase of 111 students overall from the 20th day this year, but a decrease of 265 students compared with last year's 100th day.Chief f.
