Navy naming ship after Yuma
Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus makes phone calls Thursday to members of Congress and local officials informing them that a U.S. Navy ship was named in honor of a city in their state. The next three joint high-speed vessels (JHSV) will be named USNS Yuma, USNS Bismarck and USNS Burlington, and two littoral combat ships will be named USS Billings and USS Tulsa.
