A man and a woman in a pickup truck slosh through a giant puddle of rain water in the Fry's Food and Drug store, 500 W. 24th St., parking lot Saturday morning. The rain water was left behind by Friday night's storm that blew through the Yuma area.

Friday's thunderstorm dumped 1.66 inches of rain on the Yuma area knocking out a neighborhood substation, leaving over 3,000 homes without power and breaking a rainfall record for the day.
