Kofa High School baseball field was formally renamed 'Dean Stout Ballpark' after the popular baseball coach. The late Stout was known as “Coach Stout” to many as he was a physical education teacher at Kofa for 40 years and also coached a number of baseball, football, softball and basketball teams on campus. Following the ceremony, Yuma and Kofa took the field for the first rivalry game under the new name.
