2012 River Regatta
1 of 6
Sun worshipers and river rats alike took to the waters of the Colorado River for the second annual Yuma Territorial River Regatta Saturday morning. The relaxed float with family and friends, which began in 1972, was revived last year by the Caballeros de Yuma after a 30-year hiatus. An estimated 200 people floated on the gentle current of the Colorado River downstream for a short stop at Gateway Park and then farther downriver to the West Wetlands. Photos by Craig Fry/Yuma Sun
