Yuma Union High School District has recently gotten rid of the food management companies that it hired to come into their schools in the past and is now running everything in-house. Not only will this save the district money, but it will allow them to offer their cafeteria staff benefits, which they were not receiving before. The district also decided to change the name of its food services department to Student Nutrition Services, and its aim is to provide healthy options for students, including a daily vegetarian item.
