LeAnne Grinder is an active 11-year-old who has Type 1 diabetes, but rather than let that fact take over her life, the Yuma girl has taken the reins and is on her way to Washington, D.C. to participate in Children’s Congress, an event sponsored by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
