Schools remember 9-11

Yuma schools took part in ceremonies with service members and first responders to honor those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Young patriot -- A young boy who attends Young Minds Preschool, 1881 S. 4th Ave., holds one American flag high while standing in a retention basin, surrounded by smaller flags planted by his classmates in front of the school Friday morning. The event was part of the school's annual parade in honor of Sept. 11, 2001.
