Change of Command Ceremony for MAG 13

With the passing of the colors, Col. Christopher A. McPhillips takes over as the commanding MAG 13 officer for Col. Michael Gough. Gough, who took command of MAG-13 in May 2010 and oversaw the build-up and arrival of the F-35 Lighting II to MCAS Yuma, will transfer to Camp Pendleton and serve as the I Marine Expeditionary Force Chief of Staff. A naval aviator since 1989, Gough previously served in Yuma on three occasions as an AV-8B Harrier pilot with Marine Attack Squadron 211 and commander of VMA-311. The incoming commanding officer of MAG-13, Col. McPhillips, is reporting from the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where he served as a Military Assistant to the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
