Tony Gianopoulos' home, which he said he lived in for approximately 42 years, was destroyed in a fire on Dec. 9, and both of his dogs were believed to be lost in the blaze. Since then donations from the community have been pouring in and Tony found one of his dogs, Buddy, in the area. A new home is being built on the site with construction, donated by a local contractor and Habitat for Humanity. If you would like to volunteer, be at the site at 1055 La Casita Drive at 8 a.m. Thursday morning for instructions. A Wells Fargo account has also been open in Gianopoulos' name for anyone wishing to help further with the project.
