Both the men and the Lady Matadors came out with wins Tuesday in the opener of the Wells Fargo Classic at The House at Arizona Western College. Renan Lenz, Carlos Perez and the rest of the Matadors did what they needed to do to make up for an off night for Lester Medford in their 67-56 win over the Archers. And the Lady Matadors showed why they want to be considered one of the best in Division I, going on a 26-4 run spanning 11 and a half minutes to start the second half in an 80-47 win over the Rams.
