Two San Luis city officials went to an area that only recently opened up to tourism and today receives only about 1,000 visitors annually, the Forbidden Kingdom in northern Nepal, near Tibet. Michael Trend and John Starkey shared some of their photos from that journey.
Horses represent the principal mode of transportation for these inhabitants of the Forbidden Kingdom to haul wood from one village to the next.
