UA alumni tournament Tuesday

The University of Arizona Alumni Association Yuma Alumni Chapter will host the 32nd annual Wildcat Alumni Scholarship Golf Tournament and Barbecue Tuesday at Yuma Golf and Country Club.

Registration for the tournament starts at noon with the four-person scramble teeing off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The barbecue and raffle begins at 6 p.m.

Scheduled to attend the event are UA president Dr. Ann Weaver Hart, athletic director Greg Byrne and softball coach Mike Candrea.

A round costs $150 ($70 of which is a tax-deductible donation) for an individual and $550 ($180 tax-deductible) for a foursome. Dinner costs an additional $25 per person. Those interested do not have to golf to purchase a ticket to the dinner.

The Yuma chapter of UA alumni club has raised $820,000 so far as it continue its “Drive for a Million.”
