ON DECK: Justice in the Chase after all
There is justice after all.
The driver who has had meltdowns and acted nothing like a potential champion should so far in 2012 didn't make it into the Chase for the Sprint Cup: Kyle Busch.
In what has become typical behavior, he pouted, pretty much shunned all interview requests and stomped away after Saturday night's/Sunday morning's race at Richmond, when a 16th-place finish left Busch on the outside looking in.
Yes, a bad call by his crew chief, Dave Rogers, had a lot to do with dooming Busch, but it wasn't the only factor. At least Busch didn't go ballistic, chase down Rogers and punch him out. That would be all that Joe Gibbs needs to deal with right now.
The Chase for the Sprint Cup is now at center stage, but I keep looking at the Gibbs camp, wondering how in the world Kyle Busch is going to get along with Matt Kenseth in 2013?
Two words: Time bomb.
