Yuma Catholic's Ed Harris was named the 2A West Region's Offensive Player of the Year and Antelope's Aaron Skousen earned Defensive Player of the Year.

"It's a well deserved honor," Yuma Catholic coach Rhett Stallworth said. "Especially since his stats could be a lot better, but we ended up pulling him early in a lot of games."

Stallworth was named the region's coach of the year. The Shamrocks will play in the second round of the 2A State Playoffs on Friday as the team travels to Tucson-Pusch Ridge. This marked the third straight year that a Yuma Catholic player won the Offensive Player of the Year award.

Skousen's award came at the conclusion of the Rams' 10th straight winning season, in which Antelope was one win away from making the playoffs for the 10th straight season.

"(Skousen) was a one man wrecking crew for us," Antelope coach John Blabe said. "He's had a very bad hand injury, which he got the first week against (Yuma) Catholic and played through it the whole season."

Yuma Catholic's Robert Norton (OL), Brent Bash (WR), Eric Fregoso (OL), Julian Higuera (DB), Tanner Mixon (DB), Ryan Gill (LB), Tyler Moreno (LB), Matt Osuna (DL) and Luke Hodges (DL) were each first team selections. Tanner Mixon was also selected as a second team wide receiver.

Sean Peters was a second team offensive lineman and Russ Seh was an honorable mention lineman.

Antelope's Erick Hernandez (RB), Craig Clayton (OL) and Sergio Perez (K) were first team selections.
