AWC volleyball ousted in championship bracket

The Arizona Western College volleyball team lost in the championship bracket of the Las Vegas Sterling Invitational to Lee 25-17, 13-25, 25-15, 27-25 on Saturday.
Tehani-Eilika Hill had nine kills to lead the Matadors (6-5), who are off until the Scottsdale tournament Thursday.
"We started off the morning making way too many mistakes," coach Karen Sitkiewicz said. "We were able to clean up our act later on, but it was simply a case of too little, too late."
