Freshman Heiber shines for Crims
Yuma freshman Emily Heiber won four events at a trimeet in Peoria that also included Sunrise Mountain and Gila Ridge on Wednesday.
Heiber was a part of the 200 medley relay team that finished in first with a time of 2:01.2. Also on the team were Ashton Hobbs, Emily White and Myriah Frabasilio.
Heiber also won the 100 butterfly (1:06.43), 100 backstroke (1:08.93) and was a part of the 400 freestyle relay team made up of Frabasilio, White and Hobbs.
Frabasilio won the 100 freestyle at 55.68, while White won the 500 freestyle at 6:07.50.
Diver Andrew Rivera was the only boys first-place finisher from Yuma.
Sunrise Mountain swept both meets, edging the Yuma girls 131-122, while Gila Ridge scored 69. And the Sunrise boys took first in every event but diving to score 175 to Yuma's 97, while Gila Ridge had 40.
