Westview edges Kofa

The Kofa swim teams came up just short of beating Westview on Wednesday, the girls losing 95-83 and the boys 91-86.
Bert Grabinger won two events in the 100-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle to lead the Kings. Freddie Zepeda (200 free), Jonathan Duran (200 IM), Ryan Quesenbery (diving) and Ron Soto (100 free) also had first-place finishes for the boys.
The girls won a pair of relay events in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle to go with three individual event victories. Katelyn Weddle won the 50 free and 100 breaststroke, while Antigone Mitchell won the 100 free. Mitchell, Weddle and Caitlyn Bedwell were part of both relay teams, getting help from Kaelin Bining in the medley and Krista Papane in the freestyle.
