ON DECK: CBS showing Chargers, not 3-0 Cardinals

“Each network's affiliate can pick which game or games it wishes to broadcast, though the final decision ultimately lies with the network.”

This comes from a non-Wikipedia website on NFL broadcast rules. So I don't know who picks games locally — if CBS itself mandated that the local affiliate show Chargers-Chiefs, or the decision was made locally to not show Cardinals-Dolphins.

Disclaimer: I now have Sunday Ticket. So even though I am a Dolfan, I am watching the game anyway. But I am kind of baffled on behalf of 3-0 Cardinal fans who won't be able to watch team likely to move to 4-0 because they'll be watching Norv Turner and Phillip Rivers barely hold on to get what should be an easy win.

The games are at different times, but CBS does not have the doubleheader this week.

Maybe it has to do with the local affiliate also broadcasting in El Centro, where there are far fewer Cardinal fans.

But at least the game, whatever it is, will be competently officiated.
