Hawks top Raiders
The Gila Ridge baseball team topped Cibola 6-4 after falling behind early at home on Wednesday.
Cibola's Ryan Nowlin knocked in a two-run home run in the first, but Gila Ridge tied it up in the second. The Hawks got three more runs in the fifth and tacked on one more in the sixth after the Raiders scored two in their half of the sixth.
Steven Garcia got the win for the Hawks in six innings of work and Ryan Householder picked up the save. Lance McLaren had a triple and an RBI for the Hawks, who had eight batters get a hit and six players knock in a run.
Gila Ridge (9-6) plays at Kofa on Friday.
