Kings march to 8-0 in GVR
The Kofa boys basketball team held on to an early lead with late free throws to edge Lake Havasu 46-37 on Wednesday.
The Kings held a eight-point lead at halftime, but executed late to stay in front of the Knights, who were able to cut the margin to three points in the fourth quarter.
Gilberto Palacio paced the Kings with 18 points and was backed up by Simon Corea's 13.
Lake Havasu's Aaron Troyer had 13 points in the first half, but was limited to just three in the second.
Kofa (11-3 AIA, 8-0 Gila Valley Region) plays host to Cibola on Friday.
