ON DECK: Lakers reignite flames of hatred with Howard trade
During a middle school science class, I witnessed how oil floats on top of water. No matter what, oil always floats to the top.
After a two year break, the Los Angeles Lakers finally floated back to where they belong — on top of my most-hated list of NBA team. Sometimes you need something in life to happen to make you realize your priorities and Thursday's announcement that the Lakers finally landed NBA superstar/diva Dwight Howard from the Magic was just that.
I'd like to apologize to Jerry Buss, Jack Nicholson and everybody else associated with the Lakers for allowing the Miami Heat to consume the majority of my basketball hatred. I hated you long before LeBron James was traded to Miami and I'll hate you long after he retires. If there is any silver lining in Superman going to play for LexCorp, it's the potential to have a Western Conference Finals between the Lakers and the Thunder.
Holy cow.
