Matadors sweep Roughriders

Freshman Marisha Herbert had 11 kills and Arizona Western swept Yavapai 25-20, 25-17, 27-25 Friday night at the House.
The Matadors improved to 3-1 in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference with the win. Melissa Wong, a graduate of San Luis, had 19 digs to lead the Matadors.
“We improved a great deal in a week, but we can’t rest on our improvement. There is a great deal of talent on our team, and we need to use all of it,” Matador coach Jason Smith said.
