Cibola boys beat North
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Cibola boys swim team defeated Phoenix-North 113-53 Wednesday in Phoenix, but the girls lost a close meet 89-74.
Cibola's Jessica Roberts won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:20.71, and she took first in the 100 breaststroke. Andrea Ortega won the 500 freestyle, while the Raiders' 400 relay squad made up of Ortega, Roberts, Paige Echols and Bailey Hoogendoorn.
On the boys side, Cibola won the 200 medley relay, led by Jake kaba, Jacob Russell-Cheung, Caleb McClure and Jaron Boggs.
Colin Stiffler won the 200 free and 100 free, Boggs took the 50 free, Kaba won the 100 butterfly and Mike Doering the 500 free.
Doering, Boggs, Stiffler and Andrew Russell-Cheung won the 200 freestyle relay, Jake Kaba finished first in the 100 backstroke, and Stiffler, Kaba and Andrew and Jacob Russell-Cheung took first in the 400 freestyle relay.
