AWC third in final poll

Arizona Western finished third in the final NJCAA poll after losing the national title game to East Mississippi Saturday in the El Toro Bowl Presented by Time Warner Cable.
The Lions claimed their first national title, while Butler jumped into the No. 2 spot.
No Western States Football League team finished in the top 10 other than the Matadors. That was mostly due to the league's 1-4 showing in bowl games — the lone victory a 36-9 win for Snow against Eastern Arizona in a rematch between WSFL foes.
