Cibola defeats Gila Ridge
Mackenzi Michels scored her sixth goal of the season in the Raiders 2-0 victory over Gila Ridge Friday.
In their first match-up on Nov. 29, Cibola beat Gila Ridge 6-1, so it was a much-improved game from Hawks coach Jon Gronbach's perspective.
“I was really happy with the character of the team after losing 6-1 then 9-0. It's very easy to give up, so I'm really impressed with them never giving up, coming to the training, believing in the system and believing in eachother.”
Cibola's first goal came off the foot of Xiomara Casillas, who knocked in a rebound off a cross from Andi Bedoya.
