Warriors lose regional in overtime

The San Pasqual boy's basketball team was eliminated from the 1A regional playoffs by Glendale-Joy Christian 50-49 in overtime on Wednesday.
A Warrior foul with 1.2 seconds left in overtime sent a Joy Christian player to the free-throw line with the game tied and a single free throw made the difference.
Redhawk Welch led the Warriors with 24 points and 12 rebounds and Andrew Lomaintewa had 11 points and six rebounds for San Pasqual.
San Pasqual had a chance to take the lead with 13 seconds left, but a player missed the back end of a 1-and-1 which left the game tied before Joy Christian got the final point.
