PREP VOLLEYBALL

Gila Ridge sweeps Yuma High

Nikki Kelland led Gila Ridge with seven kills as the Hawks volleyball team defeated Yuma 25-14, 25-22, 25-14 at Yuma High on Tuesday.

Allison Weller had five kills and five digs while Anahi Torres led the team defensively with eight digs.

YC sweeps San Pasqual

Amanda Milnick had nine aces to lead Yuma Catholic to a 25-7, 25-9, 25-8 volleyball win at San Pasqual on Tuesday.

Chelsea Mendenhall had six kills for the Shamrocks (9-3), while Mary Terkelson had five.

PREP GOLF

Cibola second at Desert Hills

The Cibola boys golf team took second Tuesday at a three-team meet at Desert Hills.

Lake Havasu won with a 156, with Cibola shooting a 204 and San Luis at 221. Havasu golfers Nick Lawrence and Floyd Anderson each shot a 1-over 37 for the individual win.

Kody Fiser was the top Cibola finisher with a 40, while Joaquin Duarte shot a 49 to lead San Luis.
